lucky, lucky day

well..well..well..today was good...woke up early, played gameboy, finished one game and went online...went to the cafeteria at 9 a.m., but didn't eat anything because there was nothing to eat, i mean, there was, but there was nothing that i could put in my mouth and swallow...as usual...neways, decided to go down to saraburi..wanted to go to tuwiket to buy uniforms but tidak jadi...it was only me and daron who went down with the public van...we reached lotus at 12.40 and we began our 'shopping'...ekkeke...went to almost every section while waiting for kenny and the rest to sampai...took quite a number of things and put them in the trolley but in the end, i had to minus some things because i suddenly felt it was unneccessary...eheheh...so in the end, i spent 298 baht..not bad...i called home and talked to my mum, asking her whether she wanted anything from here to be passed through kenny, and she said anything..so i got her three packets of marshmallows again because she likes it...eheheh...then we went to eat at the food court...i had amazing fish + rice..again..after that, we decided to go back to mc...daron called amy to ask her to help us call the van people in bangkok but received the news that there were no vans coming down from bangkok yet..so we decided to wait...waited for about 20 minutes, no van came by...then maybe something prompted daron to look around and guess what?he spotted the mc pick-up truck!!man..we're so damn lucky..he did the asking, and the driver said we could have a ride home!yay!!but we had to wait for i-don't-know how long before we left lotus, but i guess it's okay because as daron said, at least we don't have to worry about transportation anymore...we were in the verge of going to the bus station to take the public bus back to mc, but luckily we changed our minds...so we rode at the back of the pick-up truck to mc!reminded me of the ride from mc-roi et-ubon ratchathani-roi et-mc during the songkran holidays last april but at least this one had a 'roof'...reached mc at around 5.20 p.m...helped the driver to carry the books to the bookstore..i didn't know it has moved!it's no longer at the usual place..it's now called MC Mart!cool!it's a bigger place, which is much better than the previous one...neways, we were lucky today...paid 50 baht to go down to saraburi, and had a free ride back to MC!!yay!!God works in mysterious ways, but He sure does answers unspoken prayer!:)

just another boring day...

hmm...didn't woke up as late as yesterday today...woke up at about 8.30 a.m. and took shower and then went online to read the news on the tsunami thingy...before that, i tried to call my brother but he was not in his room because nobody picked up the phone..i desperately need to find him because i want to borrow the motorbike to go down to muak lek to buy what??to buy colgate...im in desperate need of colgate...chatted with tedson online, and he offered me his colgate..thanks anyway teddy...but i want a big one!ehehheeh...i haven't eaten my breakfast yet...probably will end up eating indomie for breakfast+lunch again if i still couldn't contact juji after this...mann, where is he??!!as usual, no plans today...just plan to stay inside the room until night time...maybe after tomorrow, my life here during the remaining days of the holidays will be more meaningful...tomorrow, friends from sabah will be coming!!can't wait for them to come...so, probably with them here, there will be some things to do...:)and i hope we will be going down to lotus and tuwiket again..i need to buy more uniforms for next semester!!i have a lot of uniforms in my closet, but sadly, i can't fit into some of them already!yeah..yeah..i gained weight since i came here last semester...but it's okay i guess...eheheh..as long as i don't grow fat like erra fazira in the movie cinta kolesterol...ehehhehe....

watched butterfly effect last night...i couldn't understand that movie but towards the end, i think i understood a little...no wonder felly recommended me to see that movie, her favourite actor is in it...ashton kutcher...eheheheh...miss felly and her craziness already!!!and also the others who went back home!!will be seeing them again in about a week's time...still have a lot of movies to watch...that will keep me occupied for the rest of the holidays...oh well, i'll just have to wait patiently for next week to come...i can't wait for the next semester to start classes!taking 6 subjects next semester: advanced reading, advanced composition, applied phonetics, american literature after 1865, appreciation of fine arts and chorale performance...i hope i can manage all of this...it's only 15 credits but the word 'advanced' makes me nervous sometimes...im happy im finished with all the human quest subjects..itu yang bikin banyak kerja and pening kepala buat projects...i think appreciation of fine arts is my last ge...good...

ok peeps...terpaksa masak indomie dulu nie...nanti sakit perut belum makan....ciao!

tsunami scare

im sure everybody heard about the tsunami thingy by now...it's so sad to hear that more than 23000 people are dead and the death toll is expected to meningkat....here's some excerpts from some of the local newspapers:

"Jumlah korban akibat gempa bumi dan ombak besar tsunami yang melanda lapan negara Asia, termasuk Malaysia mencecah 23,339 sehingga petang semalam dan dijangka meningkat kerana kerja mencari dan menyelamat dilancar di seluruh negara terbabit". (Berita Harian)

"Expect more aftershocks for the next 48 hours following yesterday’s earthquake north-west of Sumatra, Indonesia.
But the good news is that the intensity of the tremors has been decreasing". (New Straights Times)

"Desperate searches continued for thousands of missing people Monday as the death toll climbed past 22,000 and fears of epidemics grew one day after a gigantic undersea earthquake sent walls of water crashing into the shorelines of nearly a dozen nations". (The IHT Online)

many lost members of their family and also relatives...one couple in particular lost 5 out of 7 children dalam sekelip mata...that's really sad...please pray for the victims of this earthquake..this might be one of the signs of Jesus' second coming, who knows??it might be one of the signs of the times...

ok, enough of this..it's too sad to read all of the stories..you can just imagine if you were at the affected places at the time of the earthquake...all we can do is pray for the victims...

my christmas this year...

great...spending christmas holidays on campus is just great...friends from sabah were here, and the three days they were here made our holiday bearable but when they left last saturday, everything went back to the same old story...bored...nothing to do...hibernating inside the room all day...makan indomie for breakfast and dinner...memang sihat!ekekekek...went to bangkok yesterday with my brother and his gf...wanted to go to chatuchak to bring some of the sabahans, but when we arrived in ekamai where they were staying, justin said they already went ahead..so, we decided to just go to mbk...took a taxi from ekamai to mbk...right after arriving at mbk, went straight up to the food court and ate breakfast+lunch...had ka pao kai yang berharga 40 baht!!oh well...after that, we went around mbk, then we took a bus to go to Big C...on the way, i bought three pairs of slippers for my mom back home...then we went in to Big C to buy tom yum paste and chilli paste...ended up buying 7 packets of tom yum paste and a bottle of chilli paste plus three packets of marshmallows!all to be sent back home to my parents!!hmm...been sending things to them in a weeks time...first through my cousin, who went back for christmas...sent 20 packets of green tea tom yum noodles through him...then my brother sent neck ties for my dad and a blouse for my mum through my aunt who came to thailand to attend reynold's wedding...then i sent two packets of keropok and some other junkfood through rowena who came here for the pathfinder camporee...then i sent some clothes for the new girl staying with my parents through my cousin Ugas...then i bought some more things yesterday to be sent home through heary!!ahahahahha...spent more than 1000 baht just for them this christmas season and for myself, i only bought a 39 baht sleeveless shirt as my christmas cheer..ahahha...but it's okay, i seldom buy things for myself anyway..if you see me here, i always use the same tshirts...i receive pocket money but i don't feel good if i don't buy things for my parents especially this christmas season...i didn't go back for holidays, so since there are people who could help to bring the things back home for me, i might as well buy things for them for christmas!i feel extra good inside this way....christmas is all about giving and forgetting about myself to make others feel good!anywayz, my parents work hard to send us pocket money, so this is one way i repay them..not just spending for myself, but buying things for them as well...

hmm.....quite a long one this time...time to stop and think what to eat for lunch...indomie again?santa, please send some good food!

good day:)

it was a good day today!went to kenny's house and hung out with the SASS gang until 15 minutes to 10 p.m. from noon...it was good to have them around..had lunch there...then sent ruth to the saloon in muak lek...came back to kenny's house and rested then went jalan-jalan with kenny and rebecca...after that, went back to kenny's house...had dinner there, ordered some dishes from pi noi...before that me, rowena, my brother and feldinand went to teacher farida's house with motorbikes...i was driving one and my brother another one...we had a 'race' up the hill..ehehhe...haven't been driving that fast for a long long time, since the accident i had two months ago...oh well, i guess i missed driving fast so i really drove fast tonight, although it was soooooooo cold..sudahlah sejuk, tambah lagi sejuk naik motor...watched 'Boyfriends for Christmas' on hallmark at kenny's house before going back to the dorm...haih~!the dorm again...planning to down to saraburi with the others tomorrow...tidak jugak boring kalau ada dorang, tapi minggu depan, mati lah!!sungguh bosan!!...and tomorrow, all the students who stayed back here will have to pick up the 'dry' food at the cafeteria because the cafe will be closed from dec. 26 - 28....luckily there's kenny here, boleh jugak tumpang tempat masak....

bah, tomorrow daron will be calling before 8 to go to the cafeteria to pick up our 'dry' food..ehehehe...that means, i have to go to sleep now...i need at least 7 - 8 hours of beauty sleep...so, good nite peeps!

:)

so happy this morning!!chatted with kim, ido, and shaun!wahhh..eheheheh...bertukar-tukar gambar with this kim...eheheheh...tak jugak boring sangat...chatted with the ex, ido...it was good to chat with him again after quite some time...we were joking with each other, macam biasa lah, tidak jugak janggal...i was happy to have chatted with him, feels like old times!we sorted some things out, and some other stuffs...still missing his company, told him that, and the rest are private...oh well, hope to catch him again some other time!:)....i only chatted with shaun for a little while, because he said he had to go to see movie...haiyaa...after this, tak tau lah apa mo buat...haven't eaten my breakfast yet...just ate the chicken burger from 7 Eleven...that won't last till this afternoon!going down to buy bubur in a cup lah this..ekekke...so lazy to go to the cafeteria...no nice food there...kalau cuti, dorang pun malas...planning to just stay inside my comfort zone...my room...until i-don't-know when....

not much to write now...see lah later...mau main game online dulu nie...teda kerja lain..:)

bosan sungguh dong!!

it's holidays and there's nothing to do in this college!!woke up at 8.45 a.m. and went to muak lek with my brother at 9...after that, went back to the dorm and went to amy's room...decided to go back to the room to go online...managed to have a nice chat with my cousin, daven, who is stuck in kl for christmas too..eheheheh...then slept at 3 p.m....went to chimkul at 4 p.m. with auntie ritha, daron, amy and tina...met friends, cousins, and relatives at the camp!!twas a good feeling to meet them again...especially the cousins that i didn't get to meet when i went back last summer...bercerita with them...then there was the obstacle activity..followed them and watched the pathfinders from other countries going through the obstacles..it was fun, some was funny...at that moment, just by watching them, i felt like i wanted to go through all of that too!!they were having a lot of fun!i remembered the laluan berhalang during the pathfinder camporee in dantai in 1996!!it was a lot of fun!missed doing all of that...after that, the others went to eat...met with other mc-ians, chatted a while and then joined the others...it was getting colder as the night arrives, and i didn't bring my jacket...i thought we were'nt staying until night time...but it was not really cold...i could still stand it...but the cough just wouldn't get away..so bikin meradang...neways, we went back to the campus at around 9 p.m. and we were sooooooo hungry...we had two options: to order from new york or las vegas...called pi noi, she said there's no one to send the food...called new york, the cook was not there...haihhh...and then tedson came along...we told him that we were hungry but couldn't order...then maybe he kesian us orang lapar and he offered to go and take the food all the way from las vegas for us...sooooo goodd!!!thank you tedson!!you are our penyelamat di masa kelaparan!eheheh...went to amy's room...didn't quite enjoy the food because already masuk angin my stomach..too hungry...after eating, went back to the room to wash two buckets of clothes...after that, decided to go online lah to do this thingy...right now, im chatting with my cousin again..ehehhe...feels good to chat with him, haven't met him for quite a long time...eheheheh...gonna stop for now...more updates to come as this week pass by...two weeks more before school starts, and after this week, i don't know what to do!!well, i guess i just have to hibernate in my room then!!for those of you who are home with your families, i wish you a merry christmas, enjoy your time back home with you loved ones, treasure the times you have together, take care and God bless you all!!as for us stuck in mc, don't worry..we'll try to find something to do...kalau tidak, tidur saja ba..kumpul lemak kah..eheheheh...ok peeps, gotta go now...time to sleep...ZZZZzzzzzzz....

stupidd!!

the weekend went great!after church, went down to bangkok with the others...right after reaching the thailand mission headquarters, we were shown our room and then went to the church to practice...no rest at all...but anyways, practiced until about 5.30 and then went out to eat...ate in this restaurant (i forgot to see the name:))..the makanan was so mahal!!you can get 20 baht for the same amount of food in las vegas, but in that restaurant one dish was like 80 baht??mann...boleh makan 4 kai ke tiam sudah tu tau!!!oh well, ate there anyways...8 of us: me, charmaine, mr. gerald, garry, aichii, rachel, orielle and linus...aichii ordered 6 dishes, so you can imagine how much we paid for it...after dinner, went back to the church for rehearsals...after the rehearsal, the others went to the market while i went to meet my friends...it was good to see them again!!familiar faces, familiar stories, familiar lawaks, familiar voices!!miss them already!chatted until 11.30 p.m. then i went back to the room, took shower and waited for the others to come..slept at around 2 a.m., itupun bukan dapat tidur nyenyak!i was coughing and it was really irritating - here you are, trying to sleep, and your throat itches badly!oh well, got through the night and the wedding was simple but nice...not many people showed up, mostly the couple's family members and friends only..decided to go back to college with daron, amy, roy and jovita so we left ekamai auditorium half way through the program...oh by the way, our playing at the auditorium was a disaster!!oh well...whatever, as long as we did okay during the wedding service...went to roy's place to change clothes and then decided to go to mbk to fix amy's phone...they told me that we had to ride a motorcycle taxi, but i didn't know that i'm not suppose to ride the motorcycle taxi to mbk!omg, that was soooooo stupid of me!!can you imagine that??riding a motorcycle taxi from thong lo to mbk!!i didn't know because nobody told me..but oh well, i had the ride of my life...the driver was crazy man!it was fast..oh, you just have to experience it for yourself, i can't describe it...it was fun yet stupid of me!!!i regretted just a little for having to pay 100 baht for that ride, but it's okay, it was, as i said, FUN!!eheheheheh....you might be thinking that i am crazy, but try it yourself!if you're the type of person who loves adventure, this is one of them...ehheh..the only scary thought was that luckily i wasn't brought to a strange place by the driver...anything can happen you know, especially to a farang who doesn't know any thai...i was in God's hands, and im thankful that He protected me and kept me safe..it's only that i felt bad because roy and amy were supposed to go to chimkul that evening...sorry guys!:)

hmmm...

well...introduction to literature exam is done!it was okay, but i wasn't sure whether i answered some of the questions correctly...the pleasant surprise that dr. b said was composing an original haiku...it took me quite a while to think of something but i came up with this:
Snow falls from the sky
Winter is here, Spring so near
To start a new phase.
that was what came into my mind and i wrote it down...i don't even know whether it's haiku or not..i was just concerned on the 5-7-5 pattern...newayz, who cares..i just hope eventhough it's not categorized as haiku, dr. b will at least give me a little markah kasihan...ehehehhe...the last part of the exam was analyzing poetry...i chose to analyze William Shakespeare's Sonnet 30...i tried my best to analyze it but i think it was not complete..but it's okay...the matching of literary terms was quite okay but it was confusing at the same time...recognizing excerpts was good and the short answers section was okay...all in all, it was quite a good exam paper...now, i'm worried about the college grammar exam tomorrow...ok, i won't start complaining again...hmmm...to prevent that, i'll just talk about something else then...
hmm...on second thought, i better start studying grammar!less than 24 hours to exam time!

changes...

for the past few days, i have been thinking of the changes that occur in people as humans..as a human being grows up, changes can be seen...we change physically, mentally and spiritually...we become mature, able to think logically, and our attitudes changes as well...sometimes we feel that we want to return to the time we were little kids but it's just the reality and we have to face it...everybody's getting older by the ticking of the clock...why do people change?i myself am aware of the changes that occur in my life...i can change to the immature side of me at times when i feel like it...my attitude changes whenever im not satisfied or unhappy with what's going on around me...and one particular thing, throughout my teenage years, i have been wondering why do girls change because of guys?i've seen these in my highschool years, how they desperately want to get their attention...sometimes they don't realise by the way they talk, that they're actually flirting with guys...i just can't stand it!when i was in a relationship, i have to admit that in one way or the other, i changed in some ways..it's amazing that when you're being loved by someone, you change...i think that's what people often call it - the power of love...but that is, if you're with someone who truly cares for you and loves you, not just someone who wants to take advantage of you...i also notice that changes occur as a result of mistakes...when we did a mistake, we tend to change...we tend to avoid from that mistake to be repeated...sometimes we succeed in this, but there are times where we fail to realise that we are making the same mistake...humans tend to change occasionally...some change drastically and some change gradually...but every humans go through a change in his or her life...we just have to make sure that the change that occurs in oneself doesn't destroy the relationships and friendship with others...choose wisely and don't choose a guy just because of his looks and outside appearances or because of wanting to be superior on finding a handsome young man...you might not know that he's just pretending and taking advantage on you, guys can be complicated and difficult to understand just like girls...don't be deceived, one day you will regret what you did...please realize this and prevent it earlier rather than being hurt in the future!

well...i shall put more thoughts on this as i observe the changes that occurs in myself and in my circle of friends...

why?

yay!2 exams over....arrggghhh!3 more to go!!oh man...i just can't wait until all these exams are finally over...the fundemental reading exam was okay!i felt that i did quite well...it was quite easy actually, although some questions were tricky but i managed to answer it after reading the passage over and over again until i get the meaning..i just hope that my answers were correct...i don't know about the introduction to literature exam tomorrow though...im not really prepared for it, apa lagi the college grammar exam on thursday!haihhh...why..why..why..anyone has suggestions on how to love grammar more??how can this be?im an english major yet i dislike grammar to the bone..well not exactly to the bone, im just exaggerating here...but, yes..i dislike grammar..have been since i was in highschool..i mean, why do we have to learn the rules when we know how to speak the language?no matter what kind of english we speak - manglish, singlish, american english, british english, thai english, cambodian english, vietnamese english - we can still understand each other..well..sometimes lah..at least that's what i learned in my linguistics class...dr. paul doesn't have any problem understanding the variety of english that is spoken here in mc...oh well...i guess that's just part of being an english major, a major that i never had the intention to major in, seriously....after college grammar, there will be advanced grammar!i'll probably fail terribly in advanced grammar..nahh..im exaggerating again...but, who knows?ok..ok...i'll stop complaining...but if any of you have any suggestions to offer me on how to learn to love grammar, please do so...im desperate!!

these are questions that i often ask myself on learning grammar: why is grammar so hard? (well, at least for me lah), why is it difficult for me to love grammar? when will i ever learn to master all the rules of grammar? and a few more others...there, im starting again...ok, i'll really stop...why???ok..ok...i'll stop and put a period before my fingers type that word again...wh:)...there, much better replacing it with a smiley instead....

lepas stress...

hmmm...last nite was fun!!after spending about 1 1/2 hours in the library studying, i walked back to the dorm with fiona, felly, lerie, elsye, tyler, jj and pappu...it was cooolllldd outside...when we reached the dorm, we decided to go for a walk on the track...fiona went up to call deanna, but when she came back down, she said that deanna was already fast asleep..so, me, fiona and felly decided to go and we tagged tyler, jj and pappu along too...i saw that the water sprinkler was turned on, and i suggested to fiona ' why don't we go under that water sprinkler?'...i don't know why that thought came into my mind..maybe i was stressed...or maybe i was just being out of my mind...so in the end, me, fiona, jj and tyler ran under the water sprinkler!!ahahahahha...twas really fun, and after that we were coolllddd!!if it's turned on again tonite, i might do the same thing...ahahhahahah...after doing that crazy thing, we walked on the tracks and went back to the dorm!

oh well...fundemental reading exam is in about 3 hours time and me and felly are still on the computer browsing the internet for volunteer works...ahhahaha...interested in volunteer work but the cost is expensive...but, well, it's worth browsing...manatau lain kali boleh jugak pigi...heheheh...

life goes on...

hmmm...the linguistics paper was quite hard yesterday...went out after two hours being inside the auditorium, it was cold, and i couldn't stand it..my eyes were hurting, so i decided to go out from the auditorium..i managed to answer all the questions, although some of them were pure bs, but i didn't leave any question unanswered...at least i wrote something...i don't know what grade i will get for this class, but im glad it's over...that class is finally over!3 1/2 months of going to class, and 3 hours of summarizing everything i've learned..well, actually 2 hours...
i have no exam today, the only day im free from exam but not free from studying, yet...after today, i will be having exam from tomorrow until friday!!i am still worried about college grammar!mai pen rai...i'll just have to study and get over with it!!

after this week is over, everything will be fine...going down to bangkok with the mc string ensemble group to play for someone's wedding...friends will be arriving here in thailand this thursday, will be able to meet up with them somewhere next week maybe...my cousin will be coming to mc this friday...will meet up with my aunt in bkk this weekend!!and then after that, for the rest of the cuti i don't know what to do!!oh well...life goes on...

finalz!!

today's the first day of the final exams!some of them are already in the auditorium at this moment, cracking their brains, and answering all those questions!i have an exam this afternoon and i am still in the middle of chapter two, which is the chapter on brains!man...i hope i will at least be able to answer some of it...oh well, i guess im always the last minute type of person, and i have to admit that sometimes, last minute works - sometimes, not always though...at least, that's the case with me lah...don't know about you guys out there!oh well, i hope last studying last minute this time works...:)

ok then, i've gotta go up all the way to the third floor now to study...may peace and concentration be in my mind...chiss..baru saja saya tulis ni, ada orang vacuum sana atas pulak!!adakah patut!

friday night blues...

i had a nice dinner at auntie ritha's house this evening..especially the chocolate cake the kavitha made!!yummyy!!so happy to meet cikgu faridah and the three kids...yay!more sabahans!darien is so cute!!and he could talk...clearly!i was so surprise, the last time i saw him, i don't remember him even talking!!my, time flies so fast...anyways, glad that they're here now..:)vespers was interesting...another christmas program..last night was the AIMS christmas program, tonight was the MC Choir christmas program and tomorrow night, another christmas program!what perfect timing to have christmas programs three nights in a row just before finals!hmmm...didn't quite have the mood to socialise tonight, i just don't know why...well, actually i had, but something rosak my mood...what do you feel/do when you're ignored?what do you feel/do when you're not treated the same way as the others?i smsed W when i have problems because i know that eventhough we're not together anymore, he always have something comforting to say..miss him coz i've always felt comfortable with him...and i've also shared all these with my cousin, kakak tuti, and she was so understanding, she has always been understanding...im thankful i have her to chat/email and share my ups and downs with..she gave me advice that only me and her knows...i think of it whenever i face the same situation..but sometimes i feel that i just can't take it..i wish she was here to talk to me...but i guess that's just part of my college life...every life has a story...this is part of my story...i hope i will be able to take it more easily next time!

neways, right now im chatting with jr. and he always pandai kasi kena me...cilaks you jr..eheheh...tak pa..tak pa...ada ubi, ada batas, lain kali boleh balas!...ehehhehe...betul kah what i write that?haiyyaa...hentam sajalah labu!:)i suck in bm, now, tambah lah teruk...peribahasa/penjodoh bilangan pun dah tak ingat dah!

oh well...hopefully tomorrow will be a good day for me...till then..ciao!

btw, someone passed me this message:

"The road to success is not straight. There is a curve called Failure, a loop called Confusion, speed bumps called Friends, red lights called Enemies, caution lights called Family. You will have flats called Jobs. But, if you have a spare called Determination, an engine called Perseverance, insurance called Faith, you will make it to a place called Success."

this was the email i received from my cousin with an attachment of her daughter's picture!i've always liked receiving emails from this favourite cousin of mine, who is currently residing in germany with her american husband who is in the military...i haven't seen her for 4 years now ( i think)...i miss her dearly..she is like a big sister to me..whenever i have a problem, i email her and tell her everything...when i am happy about something, i share with her my happiness...she will reply me back and give me advices...of all the emails i received from her so far, i loved the email where she talked about friends...kakak tuti, if you're reading this, i want to say thank you very much once again!you rock!i love what you said and that email made my day, that email made me feel that i am a somebody here, that email comforted me, that email made me act the way i do now since the day i read it...thank you once again!you will forever be my kakak tuti and i will forever be your 3-year-old bukidi!!thanks for assuring me that i can always count on you no matter what!you and kakak bibi are the best! miss ya and luv ya soooooo much!!

finally over!!

yeahh!!final 'man' course, introduction to literature, fundamental reading and college grammar are finally over!!except for linguistics class tomorrow lah...walaupun begitu, im still happy and relieve that at last those classes are over..im kinda sad though because mrs. kemp will be leaving the college permanently, i have to say that she was one of the best teachers here..the way she teaches in every classes never fail to get my attention, and it has always been interesting and fun!literature class under dr. b was also interesting and fun..since highschool i've never liked literature especially poems and dramas..i've always hated them...i've always thought that literature was the most boring subject in the whole wide world!!but, this class has made me understand literature much better and i have to admit that i like literature now!the teacher had sort of 'opened' my eye by the way she taught this subject!!another subject which i've never like was grammar...done with syntax and structure class the first semester i was here, i had to face college grammar this semester...and i will have to take advanced grammar in the future...man!!grammar is just too much for me, all those rules, sometimes i get crazy..i've always wondered how others could love grammar while i feel like it's the worst subject!!but i guess, as long as im an english major, i have to force myself to like grammar (so pathetic!)...i don't know when will i learn to love grammar, but i hope it will be soon because i need to love grammar!!grammar class this semester was interesting, at least most of them...we had interesting discussions...im just waiting for the advanced grammar class to get over with..im sure while writing these things right now, there are sentences that are grammatically wrong!enough of grammar thingy...'man' courses..at last im done with all four of them: man in quest of roots, man in search of self, man and destiny and the final one, man and society...we didn't have textbook for the previous three, baru skarang ada textbook...but it's okay...done with all of that already!!

well, there's nothing more for me to do, im just lepaking in the library...i have to start studying for the finals which will start this sunday..hari ahad lagi mula tu!...first exam will be dr. paul's class, introduction to linguistics, it's quite a hard subject, requires a lot of reading too...next exam will be..hmm..i forgot..but anyways, i can't wait for the arrival of my cousin and friends from sabah!!i am not going home for christmas this year, which is sad, but luckily my aunt is coming!dapat lah lepas rindu sikit-sikit...i still don't know what to do during the break..maybe hibernate in my room the whole day..who knows?!or go over to people's house to minta makanan...saja meng'koyuh'kan diri bah...still not so sure...hmmm..daron, what shall we do????you know how boring it is to stay on campus during the break?i've experienced it before and i know how it feels!!anyone has suggestions??

newayz, have a nice day today peeps!

ramblings of the day...

it's holiday today...started my day off by waking up at 7.30 a.m. because i had to go all the way to the church for violin practice..by the time i reached the church, it was already 8.10, i thought i was late, but i discovered that only charmaine and rachel, as well as mr. gerald were there....slowly, the others started to come...started our practice at around 8.30 and lasted until 9.40...went through three songs: Wedding March, Air on G, and Trumpet Tune...the wedding's in two weeks time and i hope that everything will go on just fine on that day...it's not as cacat as the last time we practiced, so i really hope that it gets better although we might not be so perfect that day...yang penting itu kahwin selesai dengan selamatnya....

we went to the cafetaria at 12.45 and had our lunch...and now, im here in the library, finding information on Robert Frost's poem 'The Road Not Taken' for my critical paper due this week...aside from that, im just checking my mail, browsing through some sites and checking out the news back home...and i receive a message in my friendster from my friend, Mae! 'twas good to hear from her after so long, felt good inside...miss her already...hope i could visit you guys one day!:)

well, im feeling quite sleepy now, might go back to the dorm in a few minutes time...i have the motorbike with me the whole day today because my brother went to Bangkok with some friends...memandangkan itu bike ada dengan saya, might as well make use of it...bukan selalu the bike with me the whole day...:)

another weekend..

yup, another weekend..almost the end of the year 2004 and will enter a new year in 27 days!man, it's amazing how time really flies...it has been more than a year since i arrived here, i thought i'd never survive, but i did anyway...next semester will be the 4th semester here, then the 5th, 6th, 7th will come, then before i know it, it's already my last semester here (that is, if nothing comes along the way lah)...so far i have enjoyed myself here in thailand, lotsa friends from all over, learned to become brave, new experiences, playing in the string ensemble, tasting new food (definitely not the cafe food thought:))going to roi et, ubon ratchathani, swimming in mekong river, waterfights along the way to roi et and ubon during the songkran festival this year (just to name a few)...my aunt used to say to me before i came here to enjoy myself as much as possible because college life is the best time in one's life...i kinda agree with her, but i think this doesn't apply to everybody...yes, sometimes i complain about my life here, but it's just a part of a person, who doesn't complain??whatever it is, i shall enjoy my time here in college, because when this phase of my life is over, there's just memories to ponder upon..it can't be repeated because it won't be the same anymore...

-------
well, today's church service was good...after church, me and felly went to eat in 'new zealand' (until now, im still wondering why on earth would they call the food stalls names such as 'new york', 'las vegas', 'texas', etc.)...felly wanted to eat 'kai pat king' so i decided to follow her...first we went to isi minyak and then we went to nz...the food, as usual, tasted good...satisfied on having a good lunch on this fine sabbath day...went back to the room and slept while waiting for the line to be connected..when i finally woke up, the line was already connected for 33 minutes!logged in to msn messenger..chatted with a long time good friend, jr...eheheh...sempat lagi dia kasi jeles sia by saying that he's back home in sabah now!!chisss....mentang2 lah i not balik for christmas....yes, i'll be spending my christmas and new year here in thailand...am not going back this year, because im planning to go back somewhere in march to attend my cousin's wedding!can't miss any more cousin weddings, i've missed two weddings, and this one i must attend because she's one of the cousins that i am close to:)
okies, time to go back to sleep now...one hour before AY:)

i wonder...

hmm...sometimes i wonder to myself why some things don't go my way as i want it to be...when i want something, there's always something that goes my way..well, i guess i just can't do anything about it..it's just my luck..maybe i will have better luck next time..i have learned that God doesn't answer prayers instantly, that God has His own timing of answering prayers, and that God is the only one who knows the advantages and disadvantages of what i am asking...so, i might as well put it all in His hands..

anyways, i survived grammar class today...monday and friday next week are holidays..i hope i will be doing some studying on that days because the following week is already our finals!!well, let's just see what happens...

Covenant Players

this is a picture of the Covenant Players who came to Mission College last week... Posted by Hello
today's literature was interesting, i mean, every literature class this semester under dr. b were interesting, today's was just one of the class which i enjoyed...we did some readings of Henrik Ibsen's drama - A Doll's House - i 've always thought that drama was boring until i saw the Covenant Players performed last week!they were really good..their play just catches you off guard and then they force you to think before you even realize it..it leaves you so much to dwell on..i was just amazed of how caught up i got with their plays...they perform without much props but one of them tells the audience what is the situation of the play, and we just have to imagine it in our minds...and when they act their play, it's amazing that you are caught off guard so easily, it's like you are in their place and the message that they bring through their plays makes you wonder of yourself and the condition you are in...it's just amazing...i hope to see them perform again some day...this time more plays...

---
it's almost 1 p.m. and i have to go to grammar class!i hope i won't be too sleepy to concentrate on what the teacher will be saying in class today...im already getting sleepy right now..blame it on the stpd (add your own vowels) fire drill last night...waited so long before the alarm finally went off!

battle hymn of schutzhund:)

BATTLE HYMN OF SCHUTZHUND
Mine eyes have seen the terror of the coming schutzhund trial,
I have handed in my scorebook, but my brain is in denial,
I'll be looking for the port-a-potty in a little while,
I wish I'd stayed in bed.

Glory, glory, with a lightning fast retrieve,
Glory, glory, with a full grip on the sleeve,
A qualifying score is what I'm hoping to receive,
Because we train so hard!

I thought I was prepared to handle any circumstance,
My dog went down the first leg and I thought we had a chance,
Then he circled on the corner and I almost s**t my pants,
The points are coming off!

Glory, glory etc.

The judge gave me the signal and I gave my dog a call,
He hit me like a freight train and he nearly broke my balls,
I'd have me a chihuahua, if I had some sense at all!
The points are coming off!

Glory, glory, etc.

We went to do protection, it's his favorite part, you see,
I sent him out to search six blinds, he thought that he'd run three,
He ignored me for the callout, he can be so ornery!
The points are coming off!

Glory, glory, etc.

It's amazing, it's a wonder that we got a passing score!
My dog has done so many things he's never done before,
But this schutzhund is addictive, and we'll all be back for more,
I'm glad this trial is done!

Glory, glory, with a lightning fast retrieve,Glory, glory, with a full grip on the sleeve,A qualifying score is what I'm hoping to receive,Because we train so hard!**************************************************************

at last no more presentations!!

what a relief i had this afternoon after i was done with my presentation for dr. paul's class, introduction to linguistics...for today's presentation, i really did not have any proper preparation, unlike the previous one..i did my notes in two hours last nite and slept at 1 a.m. and did another last minute notes on loan words in an hour this morning...the presentation time is 50 minutes, i thought i could not reach 50 minutes but i did anyways...this class is over, but next year there will be more presentations, and i will be taking another subject under dr. paul which is applied phonetics, and there will be more presentations under him!i never liked talking in front, i think the first time i ever talk in front of people was two years ago during my graduation...i just learned to be brave since i arrived here in mission college...the first semester i was here, i had to deal with presentations, i was like 'omg!how could i ever talk in front of others?!'...yes, i have been on stage, but i've never literally talked on stage..but as the semesters go by, and i have to deal with presentations, i found out that actually it's kinda easy..you just have to be prepared with your material, and once you're in front, and start talking, (if you're prepared) you'll not even notice that your time is almost up!!well, that's just what i think from what i experienced in my linguistics class..different people has different ideas and opinions on this...and everytime before i begin my presentation, or before i even step into the class, i ask God to give me a clear mind and help me not to be nervous while talking and so far, He has never failed me, especially today..i really felt that He helped me not to be nervous, as i was not as bergegar as my other presentations, thank God for that!:)well, right now im just wasting my time in the library doing nothing...i have one unfinished assignment, which is for my introduction to literature class but i just felt the need to relax tonight...
---
this morning after assembly, my mum called me..i was so happy to talk to her, i haven't called home this week because of kekurangan credit in my cell phone..she told me that my cousin, who is following the pathfinders from sabah, will be reaching mission college on the 17th, so she asked me what i wanted so that she can pass the things to my cousin..i said i wanted kicap ayam brand, bawang goreng and my photo album...those were some of the things that i could think of this morning, but i guess i still have some things that i want them to pass to my cousin...my aunt will be coming to thailand too, so bolehlah saya minta lebih banyak barang :)..and cikgu farida will be arriving in thailand next week..more sabahans!!hmmm, i wonder who will replace her as the chemistry and science teacher in SASS..well, that's not my problem anyways!
ok, enough for tonight..i was thinking of posting some pictures but im using the computer in the library but i guess i just have to postpone it to another day..till then, ciao peeps!

taken on our graduation day two years ago...these are the friends i grew up with, been through good, bad, crazy as well as fun times together...now, everyone is scattered...L to R: Avonnie(my bestfriend since we were in kindergarten!miss her so much), Daron(another childhood friend, glad he's here now),Vallerio(schoolmates since kindergarten, funny and nice guy), Adsone(Avonnie's brother, fun person to be with), Kimberly(now studying in LSU, nice girl, can be really funny at times:)), and myself

i am posting this picture because i miss them and all the crazy and fun things we've done before when everyone was still at the same school...but oh well, those were the days, and life has to go on no matter what...:)

just another ordinary day...

nothing much happened today, went to the cafe at around 7.15 a.m. and then had class from 8-10 o'clock and chapel after that..went for lunch and went back to the dorm to change clothes, and now im back in the library..im supposed to do some research regarding my presentation topic for Linguistics class this thursday, but i haven't got into the mood of doing that yet..as usual, i checked my mail and also went to my Friendster and there was this sign which said that i had 1 new message...i opened it, and the moment i saw who the message was from, i was like 'what??this guy again?can he just stop sending me messages??arrgghhh!!!' what da #!@*??man, this guy is really stalking (if i can put it that way) so what i did was i replied the message and told him that i no longer wanted to receive any messages from him..i just can't stand that guy...macam apa saja...maybe i was harsh, but haiyaaa, apa-apa sajalah, i malas already dis...

gonna go to the talat this evening just for the sake of not staying alone in the dormitory because the other girls are all going..maybe i'll stop by the photoshop to develop the pictures of our concert last saturday evening..i hope it'll turn out okay though...

enough for now..continue later...:)

another monday...

well, the weekend went pretty well..the concert went unexpectedly smooth although there were some squeaks and squeals of the violin, but nevertheless, the first MC String Ensemble did an excellent job..the last song, Eine Kleine Nachtmusik went surprisingly well and it sounded good from what i heard from Amy's digicam..after the concert was over, the photo taking sessions took over..smiled until my lips were too tired to move an inch, luckily i was still able to produce a fake smile:)...everyone was commenting on how it was really good especially the teachers and i overheard someone said that we should make this as an annual tradition..well, i don't know what Aichii has to say about this...we still have to practice for a wedding which will take place in three weeks!and the Wedding March song is still (what me and Orielle call it) super cacat...lol!!

-------
newayz, yesterday was great FUN!rented a van for the whole day, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m...first destination was Future Park..it was not yet opened when we arrived, but we didn't have to wait long, maybe just about 10 minutes or so and the door was opened unto us...hehehe...first to the restroom then off to Sizzler!!we were the first customers, and all 7 of us went for the salad bar..it was super duper yummy!sangat mengenyangkan and i was quite satisfied because i wanted to eat more but my stomach just can't take it anymore!!after eating, we walked around, stopping by at various shops just to cuci mata (for me lah)...then we went to the Photoshop cafe to take pictures..that was fun!got to do 10 actions but could only develop 8 of them..had to wait for 1 hour for it to be processed...the result: excellent!everyone had clear faces, had natural make-up on our faces, looked good!tidak juga rugi paying 50 Baht for that:)...stayed at Future Park for 6 hours, stopped by at Lotus in Saraburi and ate in MK...kin alai, kin alai, kin alai pai kin MK - Felly ordered a plate of roasted duck, two plates of green noodles and two big plates of various vegetable..it was a good meal, i was really full and satisfied!
we reached the campus at around 8 p.m....it was a tiring day, but it was fun anyway!getting out of the campus once in a while is really good...
gotta go now peeps!my stomach's making noise, which is a signal for me to consume some food so that it will keep quiet and not embarrass me infront of other people...good nite, ciao!:)

can't sleep!

i haven't been sleeping enough hours this week...homeworks, chats with the gang, and especially because of the concert tomorrow!!been practicing for the last three months and finally, the day has come...i hope it all goes well tomorrow evening..i'm nervous because my fingers still can't press the right notes especially for Allelujah and Eine Kleine Nachtmusik...i pray that God will take control of my fingers tomorrow evening..please!i need my sleep!:)

some bumper sticker quotes that i bumped into

who got me into this?

i can't believe this, im actually blogging now?!i guess i got influenced by some of my friends who have already started their own blog..i've been thinking about it for some time, when i finally said to myself, 'hmm...why not?'...well, here i am..this is my story..this is what im going through in college...read away...
