im sure everybody heard about the tsunami thingy by now...it's so sad to hear that more than 23000 people are dead and the death toll is expected to meningkat....here's some excerpts from some of the local newspapers:
"Jumlah korban akibat gempa bumi dan ombak besar tsunami yang melanda lapan negara Asia, termasuk Malaysia mencecah 23,339 sehingga petang semalam dan dijangka meningkat kerana kerja mencari dan menyelamat dilancar di seluruh negara terbabit". (Berita Harian)
"Expect more aftershocks for the next 48 hours following yesterday’s earthquake north-west of Sumatra, Indonesia.
But the good news is that the intensity of the tremors has been decreasing". (New Straights Times)
"Desperate searches continued for thousands of missing people Monday as the death toll climbed past 22,000 and fears of epidemics grew one day after a gigantic undersea earthquake sent walls of water crashing into the shorelines of nearly a dozen nations". (The IHT Online)
many lost members of their family and also relatives...one couple in particular lost 5 out of 7 children dalam sekelip mata...that's really sad...please pray for the victims of this earthquake..this might be one of the signs of Jesus' second coming, who knows??it might be one of the signs of the times...
ok, enough of this..it's too sad to read all of the stories..you can just imagine if you were at the affected places at the time of the earthquake...all we can do is pray for the victims...
