Happy Songkran Day!

well, for songkran this year, i stayed on campus. accomplished a little on the educational side, but other than that, my brain just wouldn't function. hehe. anyways, last wednesday, we had this songkran party and water war in front of the lampadans' and manuels' house. it was great fun! especially the water war! that was the only time you could throw water at the teachers and they won't get angry. hehe. and yesterday, we went out to muak lek to play water together with some other mc students. it was fun, but the traffic on the way to chet sao noi waterfall was bad. along the way, sempat lagi nampak pondan-pondan sekalian memakai bra tapi teda you-know-what, and there was this old lady who was dancing to the music, my gosh!i've never seen an old lady dance the way she did yesterday!well...i thought i would get sick today, because it was really cold at the back of the pickup truck yesterday - cold water, dirty water, coloured water, powder, etc. etc. - semua pun kena..

last year's songkran was great fun too!went all the way to Roi Et with our friend, kip, and her father almost brought us to laos, but we ended up in ubon ratchathani, went to the cliff painting site - interesting but tiring, and swam in mekong river. the first picture below is sort of the summary of our songkran last year. and the picture below it is a collection of pictures for this year's songkran - not many pictures were taken because some ppl were just too excited and tidak berhati perut menuang air..first timers...too excited...hehe. next year, we're planning not to stay on campus, but let's just wait and see what happens when the time comes.:)

1st year in Thailand. 1st Songkran experience. Hours away from Mission College. Great Fun!!

2nd Songkran experience...on campus. Fun! Posted by Hello

im the happiest today!:)

i am so happy! finally, after 11 years of not seeing each other, and a few years of not keeping in touch, i got to chat with Edawn! shouted in excitement, and almost shed tears of joy. haha. really. i was really, really, happy to be in touch with her again. see, she was my first friend when we just arrived in the philippines. my mom knew her parents from mvc, so that's how it all started. we were staying at the alfonso p. roda alumni center before moving to apartment D, and we had so much fun playing together. i used to bring her along to my violin and piano recitals. she was the big sister i never had that time. i was close to her and her family. i miss her so much. but im glad that finally i have a way of communicating with her, been trying to locate her for years now. she was my bestfriend, still is, and forever will be.

so far, im happy that nothing too stressful happened to me this week. everything is going on just fine. one in particular surprised me, but it makes my day everytime i think about it. i thank God for whatever's happened to me this week - good or bad. i thank Him im still alive till today. thank You. thank You.

were you fooled today?

today's 1st of april!time goes by really fast. which im glad it does, in a way. 3 more months, and i shall be back home - sit back and relax, watching programs on ASTRO, playing with my dogs, bbq, and the fun things i always do at home! anyways. i was lucky i didn't get fooled by anyone today. pheww! the last time i was fooled by people on this day was, if im not mistaken, when i was in my last year of highschool?i don't quite remember it. oh well.

vespers were good, at least it was to me. song service was good. loved the songs. and the prayer session was really touching for me. especially when bayu prayed, what he said in his prayer really hit me. in some ways, i feel like im in the same situation as he is. friends straying away from God. difficulties in life. decisions to be made. i couldn't stop the tears coming out from my eyes, because suddenly it hit me that...ok, i'll keep this to myself. anyways. after vespers, me, fiona, aichii and his cousin went to sonya's house - she treated us with banana milk shake and peanuts mixed with a weird combination of powder!but it was nice though. interesting taste - imagine, curry powder + lime powder + chilli powder + salt. can you taste what it's like?haha. and then, we took turns reading the story of alice, uhm, jonah, uhm... i forgot. first, dr. kung read it to us. and then, sonya, and we took turns, the six of us. after dr. kung left, we had a chat among the five of us. interesting topics. and it was good. time went by so fast. before we left, she offered to pray for us. we thanked her, and went our way. blessed? yes. truly. after the prayer, i realized something. and i better just keep it to myself as i've said previously. you won't be interested anyway.

i don't intend to be religious here, because i don't consider myself as religious. i just hope that i would be a better Christian as i move on in life. because the time will come soon. i know it. i feel it. i see it...everywhere.

I am too blessed to be stressed...

i wonder if the statement up there is still valid for me these days. i try not to be stressed, but sometimes i just can't avoid it. what am i? i'm just an ordinary person renting a part of this world, i'm of no superpower or anything like that to avoid such situations. but, as one of my lecturer said, "you'll definitely have bad times in one part of your life, if you learn to face those bad times positively, you will be stronger in facing any other situations later in life." is that true? i don't know. but i kinda took a liking to what he said. everytime i think of the situation im in, i am reminded of other people who are in a situation worse than mine. so for now, i think i'll just try to be positive in facing whatever situations i am in.

my weekend

although i was alone (sort of) this weekend, i felt blessed. i went under the rain last friday. i was on the bike with dolly. we were on our way to go to muak lek and it rained. ahhh. nice, but i missed vespers though. anyways, i walked together with felly and dolly to the church for our practice. practice went well and on our way back to the dorm, as usual, we just couldn't keep quiet, so we sang 'Joshua fit the battle of Jericho'. had a good laugh for the night because of shimona's funny actions while singing that song. and then i was back in my room. i went online and only the dim light accompanied me. i felt so free being in my room all alone. no worries about disturbing anybody, turning on the air con as long as i liked was the best part.

the next morning, woke up at 7.50 and went to the cafe to eat breakfast with joy and dolly. went back to the room and had one hour to prepare before going to the auditorium for practice. the singing went well. and i had fun! before the process cuci kaki, me, felly and joy were waiting for dolly and as i stood there, dr. siriporn and acharn jittapa passed by us, then paused and commented that the song was nice and we sang well. positive comments - that's a start. i not only heard from them but from other people as well. after church, i went back to the dorm and for lunch, me and felly ate noodles. we bercerita until 2 p.m. before she went back to her dorm. at 4 p.m. i went to the science building for violin practice and after that i went for A.Y. with charmaine. the AY program was all about larry king interviewing joni eareckson tada. i liked the show, i admire joni's strength and courage to go on with her life being a quadraplegic. after AY, i called felly and we decided to go out and eat. so the four of us: me, felly, tyler and dustin went to NZ. after eating, we melepak at the student center. "How to Deal" was on HBO so we watched that. i like that movie, haven't watched that since last year, and i was glad it was on HBO last night. we had a good laugh on the scene where halley's grandmother was high!hahaha..:) saturday night wasn't boring at all, at least for me. :)

well, it's sunday and everyone will be back again this evening! yay! being alone is good sometimes, but i am glad i was alone for the weekend. i felt blessed because God was with me and He answered my prayer.

peace.

bad day. bad week.

this week really sucked for me! full of stress! and i think today was the climax of it all. i acted really bad in front people, especially my friends. i know that. i realize how im acting. and i know ye who are reading this now agree with me 101%. and i openly apologize for my behaviour and attitude. i really felt like crying, i almost did. there were a few times where the tears almost ran down my cheeks, but i had to hold back those tears. it really hurts trying to hold them back. i talked to my brother, felt a little bit better. i want to call my parents, but i have to wait till next week. i can't concentrate on my studies. go to class everyday just for the sake of going. hearing what the teachers say infront, but not listening. i don't know whether i gained anything educational this week. this is the worst feeling that i have ever felt in college, in fact in my life. i don't know how to react to it. i hate it. i hate my life. i know it's sinful to say that. whatever. my life sucks (at least for now). i don't normally say these kinda words. God, forgive me.

thought for the day

Anyway

People are often unreasonable,
Illogical and self-centered.
Forgive them anyway.

If you are kind,
People may accuseYou of selfish motives;
Be kind anyway.

If you are successful,
You will win some false friends
And some true enemies;
Succeed anyway.

If you are honest and frank,
People may cheat you;
Be honest and frank anyway.

What you spend years building,
Someone could destroy overnight;
Build anyway.

If you find serenity and happiness,
They may be jealous;
Be happy anyway.

The good you do today,
People will often forget tomorrow;
Do good anyway.

Give the world the best you have,
And it may never be enough;
Give the world the best you have anyway.

You see, in the final analysis,
It is between you and God;
It never was between you and them anyway.

~Mother Teresa~

today...

today was not bad. some good things happened to me, and that would show an improvement to my mood. last night i called home. i wanted to talk to my parents, but only my dad was still awake, so i talked for quite a long time with him. and this afternoon, since my mom was already sleeping last night when i called, i decided to call her. and before i ended our conversation, the line went dead - in the middle of her sentence. i was on the third floor of the admin building, went down to the mart and bougt a refill card and called back. i hate to leave the conversation just like that with no proper ending. it's always a good feeling to be able to talk to my parents! i miss them so very much! i want to go HOME!!another four months before i get to go back home. patience. patience.

on the other hand. i got to chat with an old friend just a few minutes ago. yay! we haven't been in touch for 6 months, so there was so much to catch up. we didn't chat for long because he said he had to do some weights and go to bed, otherwise if he stayed longer, he'll break his routine. it was 11 p.m. in australia when he logged off.

well. that was today. i don't know what will happen tomorrow. i hope everything's gonna be just fine. i hope.
